Roulette Rules
Roulette is one of the oldest and probably best known games and
provides exciting action. It is played with a wheel that turns on a
spindle, a number of grooved slots, a small ivory ball, and a
betting layout.
The roulette wheel is divided into 37 grooved slots alternating between red and black, each slot having a number label. Following the European roulette rules, there is one zero (0) and the numbers 1 to 36 inclusive.
The croupier spins the wheel, then spins the ball which eventually drops into one of the slots. The payouts are determined based on where the ball comes to rest and where the player bets.
There are nine different ways you can place a bet on the Roulette table. Each type of bet covers a certain range of numbers, and have different payout rates.
The short lines of three numbers each are called rows on the board, while the longer lines, each holding twelve, are called columns. The first six types of bets are all made on the numbered space or on the lines between them and are called inside bets the last three types are made on the special boxes below and to the right of the board and are called outside bets.

Understanding the Roulette Game as
played on www.dublinbet.com
The layout of the Roulette window consists of a few main features.
The most obvious and most important is the layout of the table. The
Roulette Table is the same one you would find in any casino. The
table positions are the same and bets may be made in the same way.
If you are unsure of the name of the position, just place your mouse
over the position and a little rectangle will pop-up containing the
name of that position.
Loading the Roulette Game
Once you have clicked on the link to load Roulette a window will
"pop-up".
You will be then shown a progress bar displaying the amount the game has loaded. When it is 100% loaded the Roulette game will be displayed.
At the bottom left of the window there is the live video from inside the casino. This video shows a real table in the casino which is the same table you will be placing your bets on.
Along the edge of the table closest to you are 6 chips, $1, $5, $25, $50, $100 and $500. These are the chips you use to make your bets. If you are unsure of the value of a chip, place your mouse over the chip and a larger version of this chip will be displayed.
Down the bottom right of the screen there are 4 buttons. They are labeled "Lock", "Repeat", "Clear" and "Replay". These buttons are used during game play and will be described in more detail later. There are three labels at the bottom of the screen. From left to right they are: "Credits" - the amount of credits you currently have in your account, "Last Win" -if you won on the last game the total amount you won will be displayed here, and "Bet" - the amount in chips you currently have on the table.
In the top left corner there is displayed the last ten results. These are the last ten results that have occurred on this roulette table with the order of most recent on the far left to oldest on the far left.
Just underneath the last ten results are two labels. The top label in white shows the number of the current open game. Each game has a unique number and this number increments as each new game starts. The current open game is the game your bets will be placed on when you lock them in.
The label underneath that is in yellow and either displays that the wheel is spinning for the displayed game number, i.e. The table is in "no more bets". Or that a result has just come in for the displayed game number. When a result does actually occur a peg in the shape of an eye will be placed on the table on the number the ball landed on.
Turning Live Video and Sound off or on
The live video is automatically on but if you do not wish for the
live video to be displayed press and hold the right mouse button
anywhere on the background. If you have no right mouse button you
may also hold the shift key and the left mouse button at the same
time. Move the mouse to the menu which reads "Live Video" and
release the mouse button. If you do this again you will notice that
"Live Video" is now not selected. If you wish to turn live video
back on then follow the same procedure.
If you do not wish for sounds to be played, turn them off in the same way you would turn live video off.
Placing Bets
To place bets on the table move your mouse over the chip on the edge
of the table which is the value of the chip you wish to place. Press
and release the left mouse button. This chip will now follow the
mouse pointer. Move the chip to the position on the table where you
wish to place it. If the position is a valid position a small
rectangle will pop-up and display the name of the position. Press
and release the left mouse button to place the chip. There will now
be a chip on the table in the position you placed it. There will
also still be that chip following the mouse so you can continue to
place more chips. Also notice that the small rectangle which used to
display the name of the position now displays the name of the
position and the value placed on that position.
If you wish to select a different chip, move the mouse to the edge of the table, place it over the chip you wish to pickup and press and release the left mouse button. The old chip you were holding will disappear and be replaced by the new chip you just selected.
If you place more that one chip on a particular position the chips may change value or reorder themselves. These chips still represent the same value they have just changed to the least amount of chips to represent the value or they have changed to maintain the order of "largest chip on the bottom, smallest on the top".
Removing Bets
If you wish to remove just a couple of chips from the table first
make sure there is no chip following the mouse. To do this click
anywhere off the table, i.e. Somewhere which doesn't display the
name of a position. Or press and release the right mouse button. If
you have no right mouse button you may also hold the shift key and
the left mouse button at the same time. The chip will now disappear.
To remove a chip, place the mouse over the chip you wish to remove
and press and release the right mouse button. The chip will
disappear.
To remove a stack of chips press and release the mouse over the stack of chips you wish to remove. This stack of chips will now follow the mouse. Press and release the right mouse button and all the chips will disappear. You could also press and release the right mouse button when the chip stack is off the table.
Another way to remove a chip stack is to press and hold the left mouse button on the stack you wish to remove. While still pressing the left mouse button drag the chip stack off the table and release the left mouse button. The chip stack will now disappear.
To remove all your bets from the table click the "Clear" button which is the bottom left of the four buttons located on the bottom right of the window.
Moving Bets
There are two ways to move chips that are already placed on the
table. One way is to place your mouse over the chip or chip stack
you wish to move. Then press and release the left mouse button.
These chips will now follow the mouse. Move the mouse to the new
position you wish to place them on and press and release the left
mouse button. The chips will now be placed on the new position.
The other way to move chips is the place the mouse button over the chips you wish to move. Press and hold the left mouse button. Drag the chips to the new position, then release the left mouse button. The chips will now be placed in the new position.
To "Replay" Bets
If you have clicked the "Clear" button but want the chips to go back
onto the table the way they were before you clicked the "Clear"
button, click the "Replay" button which is the bottom right of the
four buttons located on the bottom right of the window. The chips
will now appear back on the table.
Locking Bets on one Game
To lock your bets for the next game you need to first place your
bets on the table. Once you are ready click the "Lock" button which
is the top left of the four buttons located on the bottom right of
the window. If your bets conform to the minimum table requirements
your bets will be locked on the next game. A message will be
displayed in red at the top of the window showing which game number
your bets are locked on.
Locking Bets for the Next and
Subsequent Games
To lock your bets for subsequent games first place your bets on the
table. Now click the "Repeat" button which is the top right of the
four buttons located on the bottom right of the window. If your bets
conform to the minimum table requirements your bets will be locked
on the next and subsequent games. A message will be displayed in red
at the top of the window showing which game number your bets were
first locked on.
Your bets will now be locked for every subsequent game until you click the "Unlock" button.
Unlocking Bets
Once you have locked your bets the four buttons on the bottom right
of the screen will fade away and a button labeled "Unlock" will be
displayed in their place. If you wish to unlock your bets before the
game they are locked for begins click this button and you bets will
be unlocked. The "Unlock" button will fade away and the four
original buttons will fade back in.
If the "Unlock" button is not visible then the game your bets were locked for is now in progress and a result is about to come in.
